I have an ESXi 6.7 server where I pass through the onboard SATA controller with 6 disks to a FreeNAS VM. It was working great for months until one day it froze and I had to do a hard restart and the SATA card hanged ID numbers and the passthrough was disabled and the server identified all the attached disks. I fixed the passthrough to the VM but only 4 disks are being passed through a 2 disks are still showing in the storage section of the ESXi server. Any idea to force the server to forget they exist and pass on to the VM?

VM Instant's Menu Bar Greyed out and unable to edit
Hello,
I installed VMware-VMvisor-Installer-6.7.0-8169922.x86_64 and deployed a VM installed. I wanted to edit the CPU and Memory allocation but it seems the Edit tab and other tab (as you can see in the circle) in the top menu tool bar is greyed out. The greyed out appeared after I added the VMware vSphere Hypervisor 6 License. I am wondering if I missed something. Trying Power off first but it is also greyed out, as you can see
. Please advice.

A little bump of this thread..
I saw in the vmk warning log something like:
"ScsiDeviceIO: 1199: bla bla sata device :Deviceperformance has deteriorated. I/O latency increased value etc"
This line repeats several times with latency always bigger, and then:
"NMP: nmp_DeviceRequestFastDeviceProbe:237: NMP device bla bla sata device state in doubt; requested fast path state update..."
I dont know if this could be related to my problem.
I also read that the native vmw_ahci driver sometimes causes problems.
Should i switch to the legacy linux driver?
I'm a bit afraid to make this move...

Errors is code 0x80070057
One of those errors is code 0x80070057. So what is the error code 0x80070057 and how to fix it?
i have info is: Error 0x80070057 arising from the update may be due to: when the user proceeds to backup the file and the file is corrupted (corrupt), or the user installs the Windows operating system, however the partition is hidden (System Reserved Partition) is corrupted
please help me?

ESXi and HP Z Turbo drive SSD

Does anyone know if ESXi 6.x support an HP Z Turbo drive SSD that plugs into a PCI-express port?
Im wondering if ESXi does recognize it as Datastorage?
I have tried with an old PCIe OCZ Revodrive (2x60GB) that i didnt support.

As you are saying that you see this behavior after applying hypervisor 6 license.
Could you remove that and put the host in evaluation mode and check if it makes options available for you (wanted to clarify this if its really some thing to do with lciense)

You can have SSD being connected to ESXi, however those SSD's should be compatible .
I dont see the model names G3G88AA or M1F73AA or Y1T47AA in compatibility guide.
Let me know if there is anything that I have missed.

Fatal error: 33 (Inconsistent data)
Hi! I'm trying to install ESXi 6.7.0 from a pendrive, but when I start installing it I get the error: "Error loading /vsan.v00 Fatal error: 33 (inconsistent data)". I tried to reinstall the EXSi on the pendrive and change the pendrive as well, but I always get the same error. I hope you can help me, thanks!

how exactly did you create the pendrive?
Did you verify that the source, i.e. the ESXi installation image that you are using isn't corrupted. Please verify its checksum with the one from the VMware download page.
