is the LSI SAS9220-8i card compatible with esxi 6.7u3? spent about a day trying to get this card to passthrough. any guide on how to do this?

I don't recommend passing storage cards through to VMs. Let ESXi handle the storage and you just create virtual disks. Otherwise continue to use physical hardware.
