I would recommend to go with ESXI 6.0 unless you have any specific requirement of ESXI 6.5 as there's ongoing PSOD issue with HP G7> servers with ESXI 6.5 U1. Once it's resolved then later you can upgrade it.

Update manager still shows 6.5 Update 1 needed even though host is running 6.5 U1 installed from HPE Custom ISO
